Marylin Shandor is a legal assistant who works closely with our attorneys and paralegals on all ongoing tasks related to residential and commercial real estate transactions, business entity formations, renewals, filings with multiple state departments, and communications with all parties involved. This includes but is not limited to financial institutions, portfolio and private lenders, municipalities, title companies, realtors, and clients.

Prior to working with Marx Rosenthal PLLC, Marylin’s past legal experience involved service to Teen Court, a nationally recognized early intervention justice program for juveniles. There she alternated between representing a mock clerk, attorney, and juror.  Marylin has also worked as a Legal Assistant in a boutique Trust and Estate planning firm, gaining familiarity with trust, probate, and corporate legal matters.

Marylin graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in both Nutritional Sciences and Psychology in 2022. This includes an advanced curriculum in biochemistry, physics, and statistics. During her time at UF, Marylin served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses, a research assistant in the College of Public Health and Medicine, a clinical volunteer, and a group fitness instructor for students/staff. As a research assistant, she worked closely with the scientific method, gaining experience with literature reviews, data collection, Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, statistical analysis, publication standards, and multiple programming software. She was also involved in several pre-professional and philanthropic organizations including Phi Alpha Delta, Gigi’s Playhouse, and Phi Delta Epsilon.  Notable roles of leadership include her position as a fundraising chair, public relations chair, and finance committee member.

Marylin enjoys learning new things each day and hopes to contribute the skills and knowledge she gained during her scientific background to her legal career.  She is currently enrolled at Tulane Law School. Marylin is also fluent in English and Spanish.
